Dylan's 3rd Birthday!

Dylan, you are our rough and tough bundle of sweet, sweet love! You keep things interesting for Daddy, AJ and I on a 2-3 minute basis - we NEVER know what to expect! We are all SO very grateful to have you as ours - you keep us young and active and we are appreciative to have such a healthy and happy BOY! Love you to the moon and back and beyond! You are all OURS and we are SO VERY proud! At your 3 year doctor visit you weigh in at 37lbs (90%) and you are 38 3/4 inches tall (80%)! Your a big boy! You are doing great at school and you are awesome with you colors and numbers. You are a little rough at times and you need to be reminded A LOT about the rules and how to be a better, more gentle friend! You have a huge vocabulary and you LOVE to sing and dance - Katy Perry's ET is your absolute favorite now. You also love Moves like Jagger, Dynamite, I'm Sexy and I know it, Call Me Maybe, Justin Bieber's Baby and a few others! You can literally hear a song once or twice and know all the words! Daddy and I often wake up to your voice sining in your room all alone! Like Daddy & I you are super stubborn and want to do things YOUR way! AJ is your best friend and you want to do everything she does - at times you two are so sweet and loving and at times you beat each other up! You have the bluest eyes and the blondest hair - you are SO beautiful! This year we went out to dinner the night before your birthday with Grandma and Pop Pop to Quanto Basta and we got to sing to you and you got to blow out your candle! When you woke up in the morning AJ gave you her presents upstairs and then we surprised you with your traditional morning cupcake, balloons and all your presents from everyone! YOU LOVED LOVE LOVED Mimi's work bench and thought Aunt Nonie & Uncle B's garbage truck was AWESOME! You got so many more cars, truck and trains that you play with all the time - I am convinced at this point that a boy can never have too many tucks or cars! Oh, and last week at school you asked your teacher if she was drinking a beer - it was a can of coke zero - LOL! LOVE YOU!!!! Happy 3 years baby! Hope this next year is happy, healthy and filled with lots of fun!

Thanksgiving!

We had a beautiful, yummy Thanksgiving this year and were so happy Mom & Dad M were here to celebrate with us! We started our morning off with delicious cinnamon rolls and parade watching. I cooked a yummy turkey with all the yummy trimmings including everyones favorite Mama Linda's sausage stuffing, AJ, Dylan and Grandma were in charge of our yummy dessert, AJ & Grandma set the table together and Alex carved the Turkey! I was so thankful that we were all together and that we had such a lovely day! Of course there was plenty of wine and plenty of football and plenty of running around playing like crazy! So nice to relax home all day with family! Oh and Santa Christmas came back Thanksgiving night - the kids were SO SO excited! Of course to start off the season right he bought them a few goodies! They are on the nice list, let's hope they stay that way!

Beautfiul & Smart & Kind

She's the triple threat! She is beautiful, smart but most importantly kind! All her learning in Kindergarten is blowing our mind and she has brought home the oscar quite a few times for doing nice things and being a great friend to her classmates! To quote her teacher she has a "attitude of excellence"! Doing her homework each night is SO fun - seeing her sound out words, add, subtract, spell, practice fluency drills and practice site works is amazing. So proud of our little fashionista-sweetheart-smartypants!

VOTE!

Today we taught AJ all about the importance of voting! She was so excited to get to go with Daddy to cast his ballot for President of the United States. She was disappointed to learn in the morning Mitt Romney didn't win because she learned in school that he likes to ride horses and we all know AJ is obsessed with horses! LOL! PS - I early voted last week since Mimi was here to watch Dylan for me! Love that you can early vote in GA!

MY Dylan!

Dylan asked for a pic of him with his puppy he carries around everywhere! Isn't he edible? My little man melts my heart into pieces! Academically he's doing super in school, he's super verbal, knows his colors and shapes and he loves music class - he knows all the words to all the songs and loves to preform them for us! He is very outgoing and quick to pick up on things. Of course he's still a little rough and pushes and tackles his friend and has been fresh to his teachers at times, but he wouldn't be MY DYLAN if he didn't do these things! Love you to the moon and back D, even if you do cause some trouble at school! You will be a leader not a follower later on for sure! Daddy and I are proud of you and will continue to work on being a little bit more gentle and kind! :)

Mimi's Visit, Hurricane & Halloween!

We were so excited to have Mimi here from NJ for the past week! We got out shopping ON, took her to a awesome German restaurant near by, carved pumpkins, celebrated Halloween and most importantly had her here during Hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Sandy will go down in the record books for sure - so much devastation and so much loss. Our beloved Jersey Shore is GONE - the boardwalk literally is part of the ocean, weeks later we still can't get down to see what remains of the house we spent every summer out since I was born! What is important is that everyone I know & love are ok - almost every single family member was w/o power (including our VERY pregnant Noelle) for a long time and gas is still hard to come by but NJ is strong - they will rebuild and they will move on! Here is Alex & Mimi at the German restaurant and a few others -
